Being John Malkavich - artistic and off beat, but not stupid

Chocolate - not so much bizzare as different and a breath of fresh air!

Death to Smootchy - for anyone who has hated TV for kids

The Devil wears Prada - Merrill Streep is phenominal

 

Cable series

6 foot under - Early season's were very, cool

Dexter - darkest hero you will ever love

Weeds - coolest/funniest series/movie/anything on drug dealing that is not totally stupid

Children's

The Iron Giant - animated but very genuine story line

Mouse Hunt - awesome slapstick comedy 

Documentary

Sicko - documentary on the health care system around the world

Supersize me - documentary on eating and fast food

30 days - TV series currently running - very cool and though provoking

Drama

A Beautiful Mind - extremely interesting looking at the world through another's eyes

History/Drama

The 13^th Warrior - very good, the book is even rawer - a must read after seeing the movie

Gladiator - very somber, one of Russell Crowes' best performances

Kingdom of Heaven - Awesome story telling and great message as well as special effects

Monster

A league of Extraordinary Gentlemen - extremely creative!!!

Bram Stokers Dracula  - one of the best Dracula's of all time

Van Helsing - creative spin

Musicals

A Chorus Line - tugs at all emotions

Chicago - cute, dark, funny - women will love the payback value of certain songs

Hairspray - very, very goofy but cute

Rent - the grand daddy of all of my movies - very human and fun!

 

Romantic - none of these are chick flicks in my mind

50 first dates - cute date movie and very creative concept

Benny and Joon - another off beat comedy with a style all it's own

Fools gold - a little bit of everything for everyone - non chick flick

Kate and Leopold - very believable and has a nice style

Practical Magic - I would be burned at the steak ;) if I did not put this one on here

Sports

Major League - a cornball B movie, but the ultimate underdog for misfits

Rember the Titans - Powerful and thought provoking in a era of us vs. them mentalities. Denzel Washington at his best

We are Marshall - football and grief, very creative

 

Superhero

Batman Begins - the best and truest Batman movie yet - not a fashion freek show

Iron Man - very hip and true to comic book form

Spider Man 3 - Sandman special effects is worth seeing it alone for
